Our intention is only to charge you after you have gotten enough time to use the app. There are currently three options to subscribe to SleepSpace: 1) A monthly subscription for $4.99 2) A yearly subscription for $29.99. For all of these subscription options you can use the premium features for 7 days free. At the end of the 7 days you will be charged for your subscription option but can cancel before then!
If you would like to change your subscription, go into your phone settings –> click on your name up top –> go to ‘subscriptions’ –> select ‘SleepSpace’ –> choose the new subscription option you’d like.
Press on a sleep journey before you go to bed, then open up the watch app on your Apple Watch. Finally, indicate when you wake up in the morning. Here is an explainer video by our founder, Dr. Daniel Gartenberg:
First, make sure that you accept access to HealthKit on your iPhone. When you go to your diary, you will see your sleep journeys. Here, click on a sleep journey that you used with your Apple Watch and scroll down, you will be able to see your sleep efficiency, heart rate, motion and sound in room.
In order to get data in the morning make sure you have Internet connection and airplane mode is off. While SleepSpace can work in airplane mode it does not display data in this mode. This will be fixed in a planned update to the software.
When you select an alarm, you can adjust the noise using the buttons on the side of your phone. Additionally, you can connect your device to a bluetooth speaker and be sure to select “Speaker” not “Headset.” When connected to a bluetooth speaker the sound mask can get very loud, to your liking.
The deep sleep stimulation plays 2 hours after the alarm is set and is designed to not be consciously heard. The proper functionality is for you to not be consciously aware that the sound is playing. The scientific literature has shown that the sound has benefits only when it is played in NREM sleep, not during conscious life. Additionally, with our Apple Watch integration, the deep sleep sound is played when it is detected that you are in your deep sleep phase.
